Parents & Carergivers
Creating a space for you, so you can hold space for them.
Support Starts With You
As a parent or caregiver, you know your child best.
You may notice subtle but significant shifts such as more tears, more silence, more frustration or perhaps a teacher has voiced concern. Sometimes family life feels tense without an obvious reason
Recognising that your child may need support is one thing. Knowing how to respond is another. At REST, we understand the weight of these concerns. For some families, the path forward is therapy; for others, it begins with expert guidance before challenges escalate. You do not need all the answers before reaching out.
Speaking with a qualified psychologist can provide perspective, reassurance, and clarity about the best next steps. That is why REST offers Compass: dedicated advisory sessions designed for parents and carers. Delivered online, these sessions provide timely, compassionate, evidence-based guidance from experienced clinicians, giving you direction when it matters most.
Research consistently shows that early and practical support for parents is one of the most effective ways to nurture sustained wellbeing in children. When caregivers are informed, confident, and connected, they are better able to respond to challenges and create environments where children can thrive.
At REST, we hold this principle at the heart of our work. Our approach is culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that meaningful change is sustained when families are supported at every level.
Parent Compass. Clarity and direction, when it matters most.
Parents & Carers Compass Session
When concerns arise about a child’s emotional wellbeing, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Should you wait and see, speak to a teacher, or start therapy? What is part of typical development, and what is not?
The REST Parent Compass Session provides a supportive, structured space to explore these questions with a qualified psychologist. This one-off, 60-minute remote consultation offers expert, timely guidance without the commitment of ongoing therapy.
It is a chance to be heard, supported, and advised. You will leave with greater clarity about your child’s needs, a clear understanding of your options, and the confidence to take meaningful next steps for your family.
