ADVISORY SERVICES
Expert support at the point it is needed.
REST brings specialist multidisciplinary expertise to organisations addressing complex challenges of performance, culture, workforce wellbeing and change.
We provide organisational diagnostics, strategic advice, design, implementation support and evaluation. Services may be commissioned independently or combined within a wider engagement.
BEYOND THE PRESENTING ISSUE
What is visible is rarely the whole system.
A strategy may be clear, yet interpreted differently across the organisation. A policy may be sound, yet inconsistently applied. A transformation may be well resourced, yet fail to gain traction. Recurring pressure, turnover or conflict may appear to be a workforce problem while signalling wider issues involving leadership, culture, work design or governance.
REST examines what sits beneath the presenting issue and its wider organisational context. We bring organisational evidence and workforce experience into one view, revealing where strategic intent and organisational reality reinforce one another, and where they diverge.
Advisory work may begin with a defined strategic question, existing data, or with an issue that remains difficult to explain.

Organisational Diagnostics and Insight
Scope
Independent assessment of a complex, recurring or insufficiently understood organisational issue. REST establishes the evidence required, drawing on relevant organisational data and undertaking further enquiry where needed. We identify recurring patterns, contributing factors, organisational strengths, risks and recommended areas for action.
Typical outputs
Integrated findings, analysis of risks and strengths, recommended areas for action, and an executive or board briefing. Diagnostics may be commissioned independently or used to extend an existing internal or external assessment.
Strategic Advisory
Scope
Independent advice on defined questions, challenges or strategic objectives. REST works with leaders to examine the issue, evaluate findings, implications, options and risks, and recommend courses of action.
Typical outputs
Advisory briefing, assessment of available responses, strategic recommendations, and executive or board consultation.
Strategy, Policy and Programme Design
Scope
Development or revision of the organisational response once the required direction has been established. REST co-designs evidence-informed strategies, policies, governance frameworks and programmes reflecting the organisation's objectives, operating environment, risks and capability.
Typical outputs
A completed strategy, policy, framework, service or programme model, with measures and an implementation roadmap where required.
Implementation Support
Scope
Structured support to translate an approved strategy, policy, framework or programme into operational delivery. REST advises on responsibilities, governance, workforce readiness, communication, participation and review arrangements. Implementation support can follow REST's design work or begin with an existing organisational plan.
Typical outputs
An implementation plan, defined responsibilities, governance arrangements, readiness requirements and review schedule.
Evaluation and Organisational Learning
Scope
Evaluation of workforce, leadership, culture and organisational initiatives to establish how they have been implemented, whether intended outcomes are evident and where revision is required. REST can develop an evaluation framework and examine whether the work was delivered as intended, what it is contributing and what should be retained, adapted or reconsidered.
Typical outputs
An evaluation framework, process and outcome findings, organisational learning and recommendations. Evaluation may form part of a wider REST engagement or review an initiative developed by the organisation or another provider.
ONGOING ADVISORY PARTNERSHIPS
Organisations may retain REST for continuing access to specialist psychological and multidisciplinary advice across one or more areas of work.
Partnerships may include scheduled leadership consultation, examination of developing organisational issues, focused advisory briefs, periodic diagnostic or evaluation work and independent strategic oversight. The scope, advisory cycle and reporting arrangements are agreed with the organisation.

No. Each service can be commissioned independently.
A diagnostic is appropriate when the organisation needs to establish what is happening and what may be contributing. Where sufficient evidence and organisational direction already exist, REST may begin with Strategic Advisory, Design, Implementation Support or Evaluation.
-
Yes. REST can complement an employee survey, culture review, risk assessment, internal investigation or external consultancy report.
We review what has already been established, identify important questions or evidence gaps and undertake focused further enquiry where required. This can add psychological, behavioural, relational and systemic depth without unnecessarily repeating completed work.
REST can then integrate the evidence into strategic advice, organisational design or implementation support.
-
REST combines specialist psychological expertise, behavioural neuroscience, systems thinking and organisational analysis.
This enables us to examine how formal structures, leadership, culture, behaviour, relationships and workforce experience interact. We consider both how an organisation is designed to function and how it operates and is experienced in practice.
Where appropriate, Advisory can also connect with Workforce Development or separately governed psychological support through REST Clinic.
-
Yes. Advisory engagements can be designed for a single team, an entire organisation or work spanning multiple functions, locations and countries.
The scope considers relevant cultural, professional, operational and regulatory contexts. Delivery may be online, in person or blended, with local expertise incorporated where required.
